User Reviews of Morris Manor Apartments

An Unfortunate Mess

At first glance, Morris Manor seemed perfect, especially for college students with little money to spend. The apartments are very appealing, with comfortable, spacious rooms. The brick accent wall also gives the place a very rusticappeal. We were actually happy to sign the lease - going as far as to sign a year long contract because you can't beat 520 dollars a month. However, we soon learned that a lower price doesn't mean quality. For starters, the apartment had visible dead roaches from the day we moved in. We alerted the staff about promptly, but it wasn't till weeks later that an exterminator was sent. The biggest problem, however, is the incompetence of the staff. Granted, they are nice people, but it doesn't make living there easier. There are several times where I would ask, in person, if doing something would be okay, and they would tell me it would be. Yet, after a week, I would receive a stern letter saying otherwise - as if I was blatantly disregarding regulations. Also, I almost got my car towed one day even though the parking pass was CLEARLY visible. There are other examples, but the bottom line is that the management is inconsistent and unprofessional, and the walls are so thin that you can't even run a blowdryer without neighbors complaining. You might as well live in a dorm if you're going to be watched over this closely anyway.
